Terms and Conditions


These terms and conditions apply to your use of our App and associated services. The University accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage or data loss caused to your device as a result of downloading the App. In the case of broken phones there is a considerable risk of data breach due to the compromised security resulting from the damage. It is your responsibility to advise us of any relevant allergies when placing your order. Improper use of a discount code may result in cancellation of your order. Discount codes may only be used by those entitled to them. Any abuse of discount codes will render the code invalid to all users. Discount codes may be removed from use at any time. It is at the discretion of the University’s manager to allow the use of the code at the time the order is received. It is at the University Manager's sole discretion to refuse service to any individual or group, or to make any other decision which relates to the licensing objectives, including pub specific policies or procedures. All products and offers are subject to availability. Alternative products or refunds may be offered where appropriate. We aim to remove items from the App when unavailable, but this is not always possible. If you experience technical issues when using the App, please speak to a member of staff.


This information sets out the basis on which any personal data that we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed, used and stored. (1) INFORMATION YOU GIVE TO US: You may give us information about you by filling in forms on the App, or by corresponding with us (for example, by e-mail or telephone). This includes : (a) information you provide when you, download or register to use the App, purchase food or drink (including order history) and when you report a problem with the App. (b)The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and the date of your visit. (2) USES MADE OF THE INFORMATION - We use information held about you in the following ways: (a) Submitted Information: to confirm the order, process the payment and create order history. Each time you visit the app data may be stored. (b) Log information - For order history and troubleshooting. (3) If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation or request then we will share your information accordingly this includes Welsh Government Test Trace Protect requirements linked to Covid-19 which we may be required by law to store for at least 21 days. (5) You may request that your data is removed after this time period has lapsed. . (6) In order to enforce or apply our terms of use set out in these policies and other agreements or to investigate potential breaches; or to protect the rights, property or safety of UWTSD our customers or others. (a) This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purpose of fraud protection and credit risk reduction. (b) No information is held by EPOS Systems LTD. UWTSD and Epos Systems Ltd will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy information . (c ) All information that you provide to us is stored on secure servers. Any payment transactions carried out by us or our chosen third-party providers of payment processing services will be encrypted. Any transmission is at your own risk. (d) We will take reasonable measures to ensure that your personal data is protected, however we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted on our sites as the transmission of data via the internet is not completely secure. (e) The information that we receive from you will be subject to strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. (f) We may collect and store personal data on your device using application data caches. Any changes we may make to Our privacy information in the future will be posted on this page. The new terms may be displayed on-screen and you will be required to read and accept them to continue your use of the App or the Services. (7) Your Rights - You have the right to request that we do not process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (prior to collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. (a) You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. You can also exercise the right at any time by contacting us at catering@uwtsd.ac.uk. (b) Our sites may occasionally contain links to and from the websites of partner networks, advertisers and affiliates (including, but not limited to, websites on which the App or the services are advertised). (c )If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites and any services that may be accessible through them have their own privacy policies and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies or for any personal data that may be collected through these websites or services, such as contact or location data. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites or use these services. (8) Access to information The Data Protection Act 2018 gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with this Act. Legal Basis for collecting and sharing data: 6(1)(a) The data subject has given consent to the processing We may process your personal information with your consent. Consent must be freely given, informed, specific and We must keep a record of that consent. Where you have consented to a use of your data you will have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. An example may be where you have given us consent to discuss your circumstances with a representative or family member or where you wish to receive some types of communications from us after you have completed your studies. 6(1)(b) Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject This will apply to any personal data that we process for the purposes of administering and delivering your course of study and related activities that support delivery of your course, including additional services We offer such as careers support and internal and external events opportunities that may support of your studies. The vast majority of uses of your personal data will be for this reason, and will apply to the data we collect when you apply for a course of study, through to your graduation. 6(1)(c) Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. 6(1)(d) Processing is necessary in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person In some circumstances we may need to collect or share personal data when it in a person’s vital interests to do so. For example we may share your personal information with the emergency services or between internal departments, such as security, our hall wardens, our accommodation service providers and welfare teams if there is significant and credible evidence to suggest that you, or someone else may be in danger. 6(1)(e) Processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest Some uses of your personal data are required so that we can meet our obligations or duties, or to exercise our powers, as a public authority, or to support the functions of other authorities that have a public task defined within law or statute. Examples of this would include our obligation to share data with the Higher Education Statistics Authority. We may also collect and retain data to support public health or safety, safeguarding or crime prevention measures, or the need to retain a basic record of students that have studied with us and their attainment for verification of award purposes. We may also be required to share personal information with our external regulators, auditors, assessors, and professional bodies. In all cases the personal data shared will only be that which is necessary for the purposes and subject to the University having measures on place to ensure that data is handled in line with data protection laws. If your order requires a refund due to product / offer availability or as a goodwill gesture it will usually be processed in the following way - the funds will be returned to the original payment source(PayPal /payment card etc) within 48 hours. This may vary according to the policies of your bank / card provider. It is not possible for us to refund or cancel orders once they have been placed. Please check your order carefully before you submit it.
